About Us
The Telelingo Story
How it started
One video. One mission.
One growing family.
Telelingo was born in 2023 out of a real conversation between two bilingual speech-language pathologists who saw the same gap: Spanish-speaking families had almost nowhere to turn for quality, culturally relevant educational content for their kids. Between them, Lorena and Brenda bring 17 years of bilingual speech therapy experience and the shared conviction that every family deserves support in their language.
So they hit record.
That one video sparked a movement. With over 100 million views globally, Telelingo delivers what no generic children's channel can: Spanish immersion content intentionally crafted around evidence-based speech therapy strategies, built for families who want screen time they can trust.

We are stronger together. We build with families, caregivers, and educators in mind, not just for them.
Meet Lorena, one of our Co-Founders
Lorena Aceves Hernandez
M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech therapist. Culture keeper. Bridge builder.
Lorena earned her Master of Arts in communication sciences and disorders with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Certification from Our Lady of the Lake University. Born in Mexico and rooted in Texas, she knows firsthand what it means to navigate life across languages and cultures. With six years of experience as a bilingual speech-language pathologist across pediatric settings, she has worked with Spanish-speaking children and families navigating communication challenges in their everyday lives.
That work showed her the same gap over and over: Spanish-speaking families were underserved, under-resourced, and often left without support in their language. Co-founding Telelingo grew out of that reality. Her mission is to reach more bilingual families than she ever could seeing patients one on one, and to make a lasting impact beyond her physical reach.

Meet Brenda, one of our Co-Founders
Brenda Sanchez
M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech therapist. Professor. Proud bilingual mom.
Brenda is a bilingual speech-language pathologist and private practice owner with 11+ years of experience across clinical, teletherapy, and school-based settings. She specializes in bilingual evaluations and family-centered support that helps children access the services they need.
She is also an adjunct professor and advisory board member at her alma mater, Our Lady of the Lake University, where she helps prepare and mentor the next generation of bilingual SLPs.
Raised in the unique border-town culture of Laredo, Texas, Brenda’s Mexican heritage and bilingual upbringing shaped the way she connects with families and approaches language learning. Today, she brings that perspective, along with her clinical expertise and lived experience as a mom raising a bilingual child, into every part of Telelingo.
